The nameplates and splashers shown here are in the condition they were when the locomotives were built in 1936/7. The arrangement of the stripes is generally derived from photographic. The layout of the panels on the splashers underwent changes as the locomotives were repainted after overhaul. Under British Railways the line around the panels was dispensed with.
