As a lead up to the 60th anniversary of the building of No. 21C123 Blackmoor Vale and to celebrate 70 years since the appointment of OVS Bulleid as CME of the Southern Railway the Bulleid Society decided to have a bit of fun and hold a competition to see which modern railway livery (post 1970) would sit best on a Bulleid light pacific.

The idea for this came from a forum thread on the now closed Steam Dreams forum site. For those interested a new forum covering all railway topics has been started at: www.national-preservation.com
